Cyber Month Launch, Saturday, October 3, 2026
On the occasion of the first Free Software Saturday (PSL), discover the inner workings of source code and the history of computing! The Digital Crossroads hosts “Source Code Exhibition,” an exhibition co-produced by Software Heritage and Inria, as well as researcher Caroline Collange, who will lead a workshop on her work reconstructing a Mitra 15, a minicomputer designed in the early 1970s. This afternoon will be divided into three parts:
- 2:00–3:00 p.m.: Behind the Scenes of Software Heritage, the universal software archive, by Nicolas Dandrimont and David Douard.
- 3:00–4:00 p.m.: Panel discussion about Source Code Exhibition, with Stéphane Bortzmeyer, Mathilde Fichen, Gabriel Alcaras, moderated by Camille Picard.
- 4-6 pm: Presentation by Caroline Collange on “Mimitra,” a 1:4 scale working replica of the Mitra 15 computer, a very robust minicomputer designed in the early 1970s by engineer Alice Recoque of the Compagnie Internationale pour l’Informatique (CII).
- 4-6 pm: Come discover and read your data with Digipower and ANR-DATARights, in the presence of the DATARights team – CEMTI- Université Paris 8.
